Tabletop Crowdfunding Passes $300M in a Single Year for the First Time
New figures show 2026 is on pace to be the biggest year in tabletop crowdfunding history, despite a wider economic slowdown.

Tabletop games have crossed a milestone: more than $300 million pledged across major crowdfunding platforms in a single calendar year, with the fourth quarter — historically the strongest — still to come.
Analysts point to a flight to quality. Backers are concentrating pledges on fewer, bigger campaigns from established creators, while first-time designers face a harder road than at any point in the last decade.
The median successful campaign now raises just under $40,000, but the top ten campaigns account for nearly a third of all money pledged.
