Pricing: Launch Secrecy and Convention MSRP

We've had two long-standing pricing practices that often raise questions, so today I thought I'd consolidate both into a post about pricing. One is about why we don't reveal the exact price for new products before they launch on our webstore, and the other is about why we charge full MSRP at conventions. I don't think we are alone among publishers for these practices due to the reasons explained below. https://stonemaiergames.com/pricing-launch-secrecy-and-convention-msrp/

Tag Team: Arthur’s Legacy Game Review

Ever since I first played Tag Team with Meeple Mountain's Justin Bell at Gen Con 2025, I've racked up dozens of plays of the 2-player autobattler card game. I revel in its simplicity. After playing thoroughly with the entire stable of Fighters, I still craved more. Enter Tag Team: Arthur's Legacy , introducing six new Fighters from Arthurian myth, available to play standalone or combined with the base game.

Galaxy Glitch Board Game Preview

This is a preview copy sent to us for our early opinions. No money exchanged hands. Some art, rules or components will change in the final game. Find out more here. At its core, this is a competitive space combat game about upgrading your ship, surviving an increasingly dangerous galaxy and eventually taking shots at the Desolation Sun. But there is a wonderfully awkward problem sitting...

Top 5 Racing Board Games

Racing games often blend beautifully with a betting mechanic. Sometimes they are powered by dice, sometimes by cards, sometimes by clever hand management, and sometimes by little more than blind hope and loud optimism. But however they get moving, the best racing games all share one thing: they make everyone around the table care deeply about something that probably looked completely ridiculous five minutes earlier. This is a lively, chaotic and wonderfully noisy corner of the hobby. Horses,...
